Research Interests

Sedimentary petrology of rocks and sediments: In particular, the carbonates and various diagenetic changes which affect these rocks or sediments. These problems may also involve various aspects of stratigraphy, paleoecology and geochemistry.

Research Activities

Present interests in carbonate environments, carbonate petrography, carbonate trace element geochemistry, reef paleoecology, lacustrine stratigraphy and sedimentation, sedimentary diagenesis, petrography and genesis of volcanic tuffs, petrology of Triassic rift basin sedimentary rocks, and origin of cherts.
